Opus 88 Fantasia Fountain Pen

I usually don't do the wide nib pens but I felt it was worth it in this purchase. I think this specific pen is absolutely fantastic. I love every stroke. Can't wait to write thank you and congratulations letters from here to forever.

I recently purchased a Fantasia pen and was very pleased. I haven't had any issues after inking, the "brick red" looks stunning, and the fast turn around in shipped was glad welcomed. I highly recommend this pen as a pocket pen. I used it to take notes while visiting an art museum recently. The pen wrote flawlessly and fit in very nicely as a work among the other fine art pieces.

I love Opus 88 pens for their versatility and consistent high quality, and this one is no different. It is a smaller pen and needs to be capped to write with for long sessions, but that's exactly what I was looking for. I ordered it in a medium nib that was not working well despite all my attempts to fix it, so I needed to switch it to an EF #5 Opus nib that worked great. This is not as comfortable of a pen to hold as Opus's other pens, such as the Jazz or Demo or Koloro, but the colors are fantastic and it is still comfortable to write with. Just a different experience from their other pens is all.

The Fantasia is a great pocket pen that holds a lot of ink, so it works fantastic for drawings where you go through a lot of it without having to refill. All Opus 88s are a great value, but the real joy here is the experience I received from Smruti Pens. The pen was packaged with such care that it felt like receiving a gift from a close friend. Truly exceptional service.

I'm a fan of Opus pens, this Fantasia in black with red/green/yellow trim is my new favorite. I love this color scheme, I'm calling my Rasta pen. My only complaint is the nib. It's got a big burr on the topside of the nib and you can't reverse write at all. Regular writing with the broad nib is acceptable, but would be nice to have the option to flip it and have a fine writing line for small notes. Smruti pens did an excellent job with packaging and super quick delivery. They included a free wooden pen holder. Just awesome. Plus Smruti was the only retailer I could find that had the Fantasia pens in stock. I thought they were sold out. A small business that has won my heart. Full support and endorsement from me. I absolutely love this pen! So cute and wrote perfectly out of the box. I love it so much I came back to buy the black and the red versions here too. I received them in perfect condition and they write very well and very smooth even the EF one. The pens arrived pretty quickly after ordering and Akhila's packaging is top notch. Thanks Akhila for the care you put into packaging them. Oh and I also got a little pen rest and bookmark as gift. :)
