Product Overview
Shin-ryoku translates to "forest green" — a nod to the dense evergreen forests of Japan in deep winter. The color is a mid-range emerald green with a slight blue lean when wet, darkening as it dries into a richer, saturated tone.
Shading is more pronounced than most inks in the Iroshizuku line, moving from lighter green edges to deep pine at the core of strokes. On smooth, coated paper, heavier pooling reveals a subtle red sheen.
Dry time runs a bit slower than other Iroshizuku colors, so give it a moment before closing the notebook. Flow is smooth and consistent, with the reliable lubrication the line is known for.
Comes in a 50ml glass bottle with a wide mouth built for easy converter filling. Works in any fountain pen that takes bottled ink — converter, piston, or eyedropper.
